Green Tip of the Day

Before you open the refrigerator, think of what you want first. Then you can get it out and close the door more quickly, keeping the cold from escaping and reducing the need for the refrigerator's compressor to run.

Go Green with Logan

loganHi, I’m Logan and I’m in the sixth grade. A couple of summers ago, I was sitting there like Phineas and Ferb wondering what I was going to do for the day when I decided it would be a good idea to encourage my neighbors to do more to go green and help our planet. I started out by making a list of tips for the kids on my street to follow and encourage their parents to stop wasting energy and to help all of us have a cleaner, nicer neighborhood. I even handed out a green checklist and gave a badge to kids who did everything on the list with their parents. It has been a lot of fun. Best of all, it’s easy. In Go Green with Logan, I hope to share some of the fun things and tips that I have done and learned in my time trying to be a better—and more energy conscious—citizen.
